The founder of 3D Lacrosse, Jamie Munro, will be in Boise over President’s Day weekend to conduct clinics for the Treasure Valley Youth League. The company is a Denver-based lacrosse consulting and events business, and Munro is a bona fide lacrosse ‘rock star’ as a highly successful NCAA D-1 coach and as an All-American (and All-Ivy) D-1 player at Brown University.
Consider that when he left Denver they replaced him with Bill Tierney. Nuff said.
Good new for girls lacrosse is that he bringing along a freshly minted college graduate named Jenna McCabe, who just completed a standout career at Boston College and is now part of the 3D Lacrosse entity. BK players are invited to participate in a clinic and ‘chalk talk’ as follows:
Idaho High School Girls: Saturday February 13th 11:00 to 1:00 Caven Williams indoor facility (BSU). The girls won’t be coached, but will get feedback on how to stand out in a tryout/scouting situation and info on how college recruiting works.
The College Recruitment Process talk and Q&A is from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday.
Interested? Call Coach JoJo Brunelle for more info.
[Incidentally, Munro is the guy who added a kid named Deke Jackson to his roster in 2006 when we was head coach at Denver University. Deke, son of BK alum Janie Goicoechea, is one of the best ever from Boise who graduated from prep school in Connecticut prior to joining the DU Pioneers. Deke is the first Idaho native and Boise native to play NCAA D-1 lacrosse, though he’s not an Idaho (3 years atTimberline) high school graduate.]
