The Knights played a stingy defensive game, limiting the Braves to a single goal in the first half. Junior Goalkeeper Katie Dalyrumple (DAHL-rumple) picked up her second win in two games as a varsity starter.
“The team played hard and did what it took to get the win,” said Head Coach JoJo Brunelle, who recorded her 70th win (6th season, 70-13-1) as the BK coach.  “These early season games are always a bit rough, but I like the effort and see improvement.”
BK is now 2-0 in the 2010 season. The 22-game winning streak dates back to the final game of the 2008 season. The Knights were 19-0 in the 2009 season, including wins over the largest schools in Utah and Nevada. BK travels to the Beetdigger Tournament in Salt Lake this weekend, a 16-team, three-state tourney the Knights won last year marking the first time an out of state team has taken the crown.
“We won’t be sneaking up on any of the big Utah schools this year,” said Brunelle. “They know who we are now, and they will be ready for us, no doubt about it.”
